The Mount Vernon R-V School District is seeking applicants for the Superintendent of Schools position beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. This position is a 12-month contract position beginning on July 1, 2025. The Superintendent of Schools serves as the chief instructional leader, the executive officer of the Board of Education, and the administrative head of all divisions and departments of the Mount Vernon R-V School District. The superintendent is responsible to the Board for the execution of its policies and regulations.

Other details:
Minimum salary of $130,000 with final salary to be commensurate with experience
Initial Two-Year Contract
Missouri Superintendent Certification (in process at minimum)
At least three years of successful school leadership experience
